If you're in Huntsville and looking for a therapist who specializes in trauma, anxiety, or dissociation, telehealth means you're not limited to whoever happens to have an office nearby. You can access specialized care from anywhere in Alabama — including approaches like somatic tapping and brainspotting that many local therapists don't offer.
I'm probably the only therapist in Alabama who is also an environmental scientist. My PhD in geophysics and hydrogeology combined with a Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling is a unique combination — and it means I'm pretty comfortable with Geek Speak. Star Trek over Star Wars, for the record.
Sessions are conducted through a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform. You'll need a laptop or desktop with a reliable internet connection and a private space where you won't be interrupted. A larger monitor works best — several of the approaches I use require us to see each other clearly. Pets are welcome. Family members should stay out of the room.
No traffic. No waiting room. Just you, in your own space, doing meaningful work.
