“I love what Jacksonville taught me and where it led me. The good, the bad and the indifferent all helped shape me. I may not live there anymore but it lives inside me. It is and will always be my foundation.”

Online therapy services in Jacksonville, FL

Jacksonville, FL, is a unique blend of Southern charm, coastal living, and a thriving urban scene. With its rich history, military presence, and a mix of cultures, Jacksonville offers a diverse and vibrant community. Yet, navigating life here can come with challenges—whether it’s balancing career and family, adjusting to the fast growth of the city, or dealing with the pressures of military or civilian life. Some may struggle to reconcile their personal beliefs and traditions with the ever-changing cultural landscape around them. If you’re in or near Jacksonville, FL, online therapy might be the right choice for you. I can help you regain confidence and find balance in your life.

Online therapy is effective for addressing many issues, such as anxiety, some types of depression, PTSD, religious trauma, and other distressing emotions. However, it’s not recommended for individuals experiencing suicidal thoughts or needing a higher level of care.

Devices needed for online therapy

Online therapy works best on a laptop or desktop computer which has a larger monitor. I provide techniques including Brainspotting and Somatic Tapping which require the client to see me easily and for me to monitor the client’s reactions visually. A larger monitor also makes it feel more like we are meeting in person. Clients need to have a private space where they can meet without being disturbed during the session. While pets are welcome, family members should stay out of the room.

Therapy in comfort

You can feel relaxed in your own home during therapy. Picture yourself in a comfy chair, with a snugly pet on your lap or a cup of coffee in your favorite mug. You’re ready for therapy, surrounded by the comfort and safety of your space. Many clients say they feel more grounded at home than in a strange office filled with unfamiliar things.

Together, we set clear goals for therapy. Your goals might include feeling calmer, reducing anger, increasing happiness, minimizing dissociation, or experiencing fewer flashbacks. Each week, we focus on one goal during the session. Progress happens at its own pace—some goals take longer to achieve than others, but each step brings you closer to feeling better.

If you’re considering online therapy, send me an email. Share a general idea of your needs, or we can set up a short phone consultation to discuss them further.
