Deeper Healing Through Evidence-Based Mind-Body Therapy
You’ve done the work. You’ve talked it through, maybe for years. But the memories, the anxiety, the feeling of being stuck — it’s still there. That’s not a sign that healing isn’t possible. It’s a sign that your body is still holding what your mind has already processed.
I’m Diana Sturm, Licensed Professional Counselor specializing in trauma, anxiety, and dissociation. I use a combination of evidence-based approaches including somatic tapping, brainspotting, and hypnosis alongside cognitive behavioral therapy to help you heal at the level where the pain actually lives — in your body and nervous system, not just your thoughts.
I help women who are feeling stuck, unseen, or weighed down by past experiences so they can reconnect with hope, agency, and move forward into a life that feels self-directed and meaningful. This may mean experiences with:
- sexual assault,
- domestic violence,
- medical trauma,
- religious trauma,
- sex trafficking,
- abuse as a child, and
- war experiences.
Whatever brought you here, you don’t have to keep carrying it alone. These experiences leave real marks — on your nervous system, your sense of self, and your ability to move forward. But they don’t have to define your future. Using evidence-based somatic approaches that work at the body level, we can gently process what’s been stored and help you reclaim the life you deserve.
How do I get started?
The process begins by you emailing me. Let me know in your email if you’d like a short telephone chat for me to answer questions or if you want to get started right away. Also let me know times you are available for therapy that way I can check to see if I have space available at the time you need.
Once you decide you want to start, I will send you a link to my online portal where you will need to complete a variety of forms including consent, insurance, credit card information and intake forms. You don’t have to use insurance, but it is an option. I take BCBS insurance, traditional Medicare, and BCBS Advantage. After those forms have been fully completed and insurance verified (if you are using it), then an appointment is scheduled. The first session is about getting to know you and finding out what you would like to work on in therapy. We set goals. The second session is about getting to work on those goals.
