Mental Health Counseling in Alabama & Florida

Diana Sturm, Licensed Professional Counselor

Welcome to your journey of healing and growth!

Hello! I’m Diana, and I’m here to support you with in-person or online therapy. I will help you work on overcoming the challenges of trauma, dissociation, and anger. Life’s difficulties can sometimes leave us feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or burdened by intense emotions. My goal is to provide a safe, compassionate space where you can explore your experiences, heal from past wounds, and find healthier ways to manage your emotions.

My specialties are trauma and dissociation. Anger, anxiety, and depression are also often linked with these. Processing emotions of anger, hurt, betrayal, or resentment helps you feel more calm and at peace. When emotions from upsetting events are processed, often anxiety, depression, anger, and brain fog reduce greatly or even disappear.

People are often surprised how quickly processing can take place. Anger from betrayal can be gone in just one or two sessions. Repetitive negative thoughts, hopelessness, fears, and feeling overwhelmed can also be processed so those feelings will reduce. More complex situations will take longer. But freedom from the upsetting emotions and constant negative thoughts is possible.

How do I get started?

The process begins by you emailing me. Let me know in your email if you’d like a short telephone chat for me to answer questions or if you want to get started right away. Also let me know if you have restrictions on times you are available for therapy. I will send you a link to my online portal where you will need to complete a variety of forms including consent, insurance, credit card information and intake forms. After those forms have been fully completed and insurance verified (if you are using it), then an appointment is scheduled. The first session is about getting to know you and finding out what you would like to work on in therapy. We set goals. The second session is about getting to work on those goals. Ready to get started? Email me today!

I’m here to answer your questions, so let me know if you would like a short phone consultation. Please include the following:
